Nov 24 2914

Note from Parents: Cassie's pday was switched to Saturday Nov 22 2014 and since they did not know the library closed early they only got 1 hour to send an e-mail. So below is part 2 of Week 17 in Luleå Sweden.

Sunday Nov 23 2014 - Well, the last Sunday in Luleå!! It was so weird, but it was fun! We contacted a TON of people before church, then during church none of our investigators came... again. :/ But I was asked to bear my testimony since I would be leaving, so I was able to do that. It was cool to stand up there and remember how I did it my first Sunday here, and see the difference. Now I could say what I wanted to say for the most part, now I stood up there and saw all these faces and they all meant something to me, now I said thank you and goodbye. It was weird, but special. I hugged just about everyone and said goodbye. We had Ward Council after church, which was weird for me just because none of the things they were talking about would effect me anymore! But it was fun! Then we went to the Wirtalas for dinner AGAIN!! :)

They invited us over even though we were just there last Sunday, and it was so much fun. We got there and they said it was a Christmas dinner! It was mostly for Elder Allsop because he had only had one Christmas in Sweden (the other was in the MTC). So we got there and we decorated their Christmas Tree, then ate the traditional Swedish Christmas Dinner (which was a little random/weird- I'll explain more later.)

Then watched a tiny bit of Pippi's Christmas (allowed by mission president) (like pippi longstocking. it is originally Swedish.) Then sang some Christmas songs and then they gave us each a present, which we unwrapped and it was a Kex candy bar!

They are just the sweetest things ever!! Seriously though, it was soo much fun! It felt like Christmas, and although I wasn't home with family, I was with people who loved me and I love them, so it was so special! So I guess I will get two Christmas' in Sweden too! haha one yesterday, and one this Christmas! Craziness :)

After we left, they called and said I forgot my camera there, so we swung around and got it, luckily we hadn't gone far! But after retrieving my camera, and finally looking at it, I found all these beautiful selfies of the Wirtala family!! :) hahaha I love them so much! I will miss them! Ah!! But it was pretty wonderful time.

I love the Lord, and I love the people he puts in our lives. He really knows what He's doing, doesn't He?

LOVE YOU,

Cassie

P.S. Oh Happy Thanksgiving to you guys!! I am so so grateful for you. Mom and Dad you have been the best gift from the Lord, and I am forever grateful. Bro's and Sisters, thanks for all you do, and for loving me, and always having fun with me! Friends, thanks for the love support and fun times! I love you and am SO GRATEFUL for YOU!!!

So I will be moving tomorrow! I fly to Stockholm then take a train to Jönköping! I think it will be like a 4 or 5 hour train ride! So I will get there tomorrow night about 8.00.

I am wayy excited to serve with Sister Jessica Lindsay! She's a doll :)

LOVE YOU HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

Nov 22 2014

Because it is Saturday, we didn't realize the library would close early, so we only have an hour today, then on Monday we will get on for an hour as well. Just take one hour from today and use it for proselyting. But anyway, this week has been stellar! Short because I just emailed 5 days ago, but it's fine. Well there isn't too much to tell, sadly I feel like I write these really similar to what I write in my journal. And my journal was lots of details this week, but I'll just summarize and then talk :) haha

Monday Nov 17 2014 - Super great pday just felt more productive than usual. Then we met Asefa and talked with him about the Melchizedek Priesthood so he will probably be receiving that in 4 to 5 months because he wants to finish the Book of Mormon first. (not because he has too, he just feels like that is super important.)

Tuesday Nov 18 2014 - Taught Abood who is now reading the bible all the way through. Dude this guy is really doing his research. I can't wait for him to feel the difference. Then we taught Jocke again and he is pretty cool, not like super into it still, but still interested. Taught Henrik but he was hung over... yeah teaching him the word of wisdom last week went over great... hahaha oh boy. Then President Beckstrand called us.... and Sister Modersitzki is training!! He told me that I am leaving Luleå but I just have to wait until Friday to find out where! But Mod will be a great trainer :) To celebrate we went to McDonalds during dinner and got a Diam McFlurry, then went home and had real dinner. Then we taught a guy on the street for 15 minutes in -15 degrees Celsius weather. oh my goodness we could NOT feel our toes by the end of it. The guy was super cool though. But man it was FREEZING.

Wednesday Nov 19 2014 - We went to a lot of less actives, we walked across the frozen ocean. (OH MY GOODNESS. ) maybe that isn't that big of a deal, but I definitely had never done it so I was stoked! haha Then we had dinner at the Danells which was fun, and we taught their friend that they have staying with them for a couple months. Then we took the car to the elders in Boden and then walked to our bus.. it was -17 degrees Celsius. we were dying walking then waiting.

Thursday Nov 20 2014 - We had district meeting over the phone, which was great! Then we met Joel and had a good lesson with him- dang I'm going to miss him! He is awesome. Then we visited another less active. Then we met this guy named Martin that we had contacted on the street last week. He read the chapter we gave him, and was just thrilled to meet. Yes this is a Swede I am talking about. We were worried he was high or something, but nope, he wasn't. But he is totally prepared. He said himself, a couple years ago he would have told us we were crazy, but his life has changed and he feels like he has a relationship with God. He said we were a sign to an answer to his prayers. He was praying and walking as we contacted him, and he was pretty amazed. We almost got him a baptismal date, but he wants to feel an answer from God first. But soon it will come, and he committed to church tomorrow! It will be way cool.

Friday Nov 21 2014 - Yesterday well boy was a good day!! TRANSFER CALLS came out!! we found out at like 8:45 and drum role.... I am going to Jönköping!!! It is like in the dead middle of the bottom half of Sweden. AND I will be finishing the training of Sister Lindsay!! Wow, what? haha yeah, she has been out 6 weeks, so I will finish her training. I've met her once and the sisters conference, and she is darling. I am soo excited to be with her!!!

But we took the car and drove up north, and visited some new less actives! We visited the Gustaffsons, which I have been there twice before. Then we went to Haparanda and visited with Stig, a cute 57 year old man who I don't know if he is all there, but he was darling. We met him at the library, and tons of the books were in Finnish, so that was weird! but that is because we were seriously 2 minutes away from the Finnish border!!

We also visited an 86 year old lady there who was really sweet. We are going to try and get the Finnish missionaries in Kemi (which is like a 30 minute drive from Haparanda) to visit them because both of them can speak a little English/Finnish. So that would be super cool. Then we drove to Finland for a second! It was super fun :) So I have officially been to Finland as well!!! woo :) Then on the way home we visited Karin Anderson, which was good and we invited her to church and she seemed like she was going to come as long as she feels well tomorrow!! :) .

Then we got home taught the Hu's (the Chinese family) who I think will start progressing a lot more after Christmas, they are just so busy right now, but it was still a good lesson

Then we met with Asefa which was fun, and probably my last time to actually meet with him! Weird!! But it was a pretty fun day!!! :)

So I started packing my bags on Wednesday night, and I've got two of my three bags packed! So it won't be too bad. I am really excited to go to Jönköping! I've heard it is a pretty sweet place, and like the most Christian city in Sweden (which isn't saying a lot- but is still saying something!) haha I am SO excited :) I am sad to leave Sister Mod, because she has just been a treat. Like so chill and fun, and we work similarly, so it has just been really nice. But I'm excited for a new ward to work in, even though I will miss my cute Luleå branch, they will always be dear to me! Well, I just love the Lord and love the work!! Sorry Not so much time today, so no replies to anyone else! :/ But I love you all and am so grateful for the love and support!!

Love, Sister Bolton

Nov 17 2014

Hej hej,

Well this week was pretty good! We had some fun stuff so that was great :) But the investigator pool is still very very little which is a bummer, but it will be fine.

Monday Nov 10 2014 - we met with Asefa which was fun, he is just a rock star. Seriously love him, just a humble nice guy.

Tuesday Nov 11 2014 - Happy 5 months to meeee. We met with Chi, and pretty much had a drop lesson. At the moment she isn't ready for the gospel, but in 5 months I bet she will be baptized. She has faith and is super sweet, but just needs a tiny bit more time. I can't wait to hear about it from other missionaries who will serve up here. It was kind of sad to drop her, but it was definitely what was needed. Although she will continue reading and praying so that is awesome :) Then we met with a guy name Jocke who is only 17... I totally thought he was like 24 when we contacted him on the street the week before.. but no. haha We met with him and he is a new investigator! Yay! So we are meeting with him again tomorrow! Then we met with Abood and that was good.

Wednesday Nov 12 2014 - We met with Henrik, following up on faith then we taught him the Word of Wisdom. Well at this point he kind of turned that down. He said he wants to quit smoking, but he doesn't know when. So we decided the next time we met with him to focus on prayer because he says he feels awkward praying still, which is totally understandable, but we want him to become comfortable with it, and that is how he is going to gain a testimony so we focused on that. We committed him to act on his desire for knowledge by reading daily, praying daily, and coming to church weekly. He has come to church once, he didn't come yesterday but he had told us he couldn't make it this week, so next week he better be there. We still think he is progressing because he is being willing to act and I totally believe one day he will get baptized, it will just take some patience and love. He is cool though, and he is finding answers that he has had.

Then we visited a couple old ladies who are less actives. One because she is a vegetable and the other because she forgets about church or/and with the church moved to the school she has had a hard time trying to find it. It is hard that she doesn't have a cell phone, but it is okay. She is sweet.

Then we swung by a family that we had given a Book of Mormon and they invited us in. They are from Burma, and super nice! Kind of a bummer that the church doesn't have any material in any of the languages from Burma. But we explained the Book of Mormon to them and then part of the restoration, invited them to read, pray and come to church. They committed except not this Sunday cause they had a family thing. So next Sunday they should be there. Two girls, one like 17 yrs old, one 22, then the mom and dad. They have sons too, but they didn't sit in on the lesson. I can totally see them getting baptized because they are already Christian and seemed open, and super sincere. They were really genuine people :) We are meeting with them again tonight! :)

Oh, had dinner with the Vinberg's tonight, which was fun and yummy :) I appreciate them.

Thursday Nov 13 2014 - We woke up at 4 and left at 5 to get to the airport and we flew to Stockholm! We had a Sister's conference, which was AWESOME! We got there a little earlier than other sisters so we helped set up, then we had an interview with president! Finally ;) haha It wasn't anything too special actually, he took us both in there, we talked for a few minutes, then he dismissed Sister Mod, and we talked for like 2 minutes tops, and then we switched. Haha I just don't know president that well yet, but I am sure with this upcoming transfer, since I won't be forever away I may be able to get to know him a little better, plus just the fact of being on the mission longer. Then we had the sisters conference which was just a blast. It was nice to be able to meet all the sisters in the mission, they all seem superb! Really we are so blessed in this mission.

The conference started with doing Zumba with Sister Beckstrand leading us!! It was so fun :) We did that for about 20 minutes then hurried and changed back to skirts and had a little opening then split into two classes where we learned about gratitude and happiness. It was so much fun and really nice to be reminded on how important those things are especially here in this missionary work! Then we had lunch and it was delicious! Baked potatoes with chili. I was happy. Then we split into two more classes where Sister Tolley talked about choices and how important they are then gave us ice cream, which was so yummy. And Sister Beckstrand who talked about three important bones that we have; 1- a back bone, need to be able to carry things in life and be responsible. 2- a wish bone, need to have dreams and go after them 3- a funny bone, need to be able to laugh about things and not be too serious. Then she talked a lot about the light of Christ and the gift we have. It was so good!

What is so cool is that after this conference I have felt the spirit of happiness and gratitude so much stronger. After that sisters conference I have constantly been looking and finding things to smile about and laugh about. I love the work I am doing and the spirit that accompanies it. I am super grateful for the Beckstrands and the other great sisters who prepared everything for us. It was a wonderful conference!

Friday Nov 14 2014 - We met with Henrik again, but I already explained that, and then a lot of bloasts and things falling through, but it was fine. We got to teach that Chinese family, familjen Hu again which was fun. They read the pamphlets and prayed so that was really good that they made some progression! It seems like we can only meet once a week with them though :/ After them we went to catch our bus home and we were 4 minutes early to the bus station and the bus had already left :/ It was the end of the line so sometimes they like to go early, but it was frustrating. But instead of being frustrated, I had some fun catching snowflakes in my mouth, and taking pictures in the snow. haha I was like a child, but no one was outside, and we were way too far away to walk so we waiting a half hour for the next bus.

Saturday Nov 15 2014 - The big day finally came! We left our place at 7:30 and got to the Skellefteå chapel at 9:40. It usually only takes an hour and a half but it snowed all night Friday and all day Saturday so the roads were covered! Good thing I feel comfortable in snow. :) But we got there and everyone else called us telling us they would be late, so the baptism started at 10:30 instead of 10. We improvised since the person giving the talk didn't get there until 10:50 so we had testimonies by; Marika (Stefan's step mom), me, Attila (Stefan's dad), and Johan Wirtala before we did the baptism, and that was super fun. I was grateful I could bare my testimony :) Then we did the baptism, and the spirit was strong, I was really happy for Stefan. After we all wrote a note to Stefan while they got changed, then Bertil who was supposed to give the talk before the baptism did so afterwards, then Stefan bore his testimony. It was the sweetest little thing. All went well, then we rode back with Linnea Dannel and Joel and Linnea paid for our lunch which was super nice of her. Then we ran and visited Agnes who is a less active 20 year old, and that was a lot of fun. Then we did weekly planning the rest of the night. Lots of driving for the day, but just super happy about all who came to Stefan's baptism and that all turned out great! :)

Sunday Nov 16 2014 - Church was great, but no investigators came to church :( kind of a bummer. But Stefan was confirmed and that was super great as well :) Then we had dinner at the Wirtalas, tacos, the usual and fantastic. I took pictures with them because I have a feeling I may only have one more week here in Luleå.

Transfers are coming up on the 26th, and I have been here for four and a half months, so I am pretty sure I will be moving and Sister Mod might be training someone else up here! But it is so weird to think this is my last week here in Luleå. I am pretty sad thinking about leaving all the wonderful members here, but I am excited to see what is in store. I am so grateful I could begin my mission up here in the North though. What a special place :) I can't wait to come back and visit here one day. I'm going to laugh if I don't get transferred next week though. OH! Importance- our Pday got switched from next Monday to this SATURDAY. Just because of thanksgiving traveling missionaries. So hopefully I don't have zero emails next pday, but I know yall are busy, but that is when I will be on! It will be a little weird, but whatever. I also should find out if/where I am transferring on Saturday, so hopefully I find out before we email! haha

Well that is about all! Oh I figured I would throw this in.. just some stuff from studies;

I just love the scriptures, personal study time is one of my favorite times in the day. I read Jacob 5-7 this week with the institute manual on those chapters, which I just love using because it makes me understand the little things that I wouldn't get, plus gives you more background to really get each little symbol. One thing I loved and never thought of before was from the student manual, it says:

“This allegory as recounted by Jacob is from the outset intended to be about Christ. …

“Even as the Lord of the vineyard and his workers strive to bolster, prune, purify, and otherwise make productive their trees in what amounts to a one-chapter historical sketch of the scattering and gathering of Israel, the deeper meaning of the Atonement undergirds and overarches their labors. In spite of cuttings and graftings and nourishings that mix and mingle trees in virtually all parts of the vineyard, it is bringing them back to their source that is the principal theme of this allegory. Returning, repenting, reuniting—at-one-ment—this is the message throughout.

“… At least fifteen times the Lord of the vineyard expresses a desire to bring the vineyard and its harvest to his ‘own self,’ and he laments no less than eight times, ‘It grieveth me that I should lose this tree.’ One student of the allegory says it should take its place beside the parable of the prodigal son, inasmuch as both stories ‘make the Lord’s mercy so movingly memorable.’

“Clearly this at-one-ment is hard, demanding, and, at times, deeply painful work, as the work of redemption always is. There is digging and dunging. There is watering and nourishing and pruning. And there is always the endless approaches to grafting—all to one saving end, that the trees of the vineyard would ‘thrive exceedingly’ and become ‘one body; … the fruits [being] equal,’ with the Lord of the vineyard having ‘preserved unto himself the … fruit.’ From all the distant places of sin and alienation in which the children of the Father find themselves, it has always been the work of Christ (and his disciples) in every dispensation to gather them, heal them, and unite them with their Master” (Christ and the New Covenant [1997], 165–66).

Well I love you guys sooo very much :) I hope you have a wonderful week and remember to be grateful for the atonement of Jesus Christ, He did it so that we could repair ourselves and overcome obstacles. Thanks for everything you all do.

Nov 10 2014

Okay, well I wrote SO much in my journal this week so I'm just going to give you guys a little bit of the highlights. But good thing my journal writing has improved.. but that also means my emailing with detail will probably decline! Sorry!

Monday Nov 3 2014 - We had dinner at the Muhi's, which was super fun! Giant pizza which was delicious :) Then had a lesson on the priesthood with Stefan, the elders were there and bore great testimony. We also talked about his baptism since he has permission!! woot woot! He didn't want to choose a date yet, but he said he would pray about it! (He is so awesome, and seriously knows that this is between him and God!)

Tuesday Nov 4 2014 - We went and visited a few less actives, did the big drive to Töre and visited Laila Lindberg did some family history with her, got her on family search. Then Karin Andersson, then Ingrid Andersson, haha so many something-sons. ha We also hit up Asefa, and had a great lesson with him on a scripture story.

Wednesday Nov 5 2014 - had some strange lessons... the guy with aspergers was kind of touchy feely, and so definitely not meeting with him anymore. Had a great dinner at Marianne Näslunds with the elders and Joel! It was so much fun. We super loved it! I just appreciate Marianne so much! She is a gem.

Thursday Nov 6 2014 - We had district meeting down in Skellefteå, and so that took up a lot of our day, traveling there and traveling back. But district meeting was stellar. Elder Archibald did such a good job going over the zone conference we had, and talking more about unity, and it was just great. I really liked it! I was just watching some good old cardboard TV.

Friday Nov 7 2014 - We met with Chi, and had the Chinese missionary help us, and that was useful, we will meet with her again next week and hopefully she will start progressing more. We are trying to feel out if she just has us come over because she likes friends. But hopefully she will be able to feel the spirit behind how important church attendance is.

Then we met with Henrik and had a good lesson about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He is having a hard time getting started with having faith thing! But he committed to coming to church, to continue to pray and read daily, so hopefully is starts to work in him, as long as he softens his heart!

Then we had an hour and a half lesson with Abood, and since he has now read the Book of Mormon in Arabic (yes last week I said in Persian, but that was my bad.) and once in Swedish. He is a super cool guy. Super invested in finding the truth, and I just can't wait for him to find it! He is so close :) He loves the Koran and has shown us some really cool stuff from it, I really respect him. OH! Man, I almost forgot. The coolest part was when he told us about a dream he had! Okay, I don't know what it is but two of my investigators having dreams about missionaries.. SICK. Anyway, his dream was of me and Sister Modersitski, and we were pointing down a road and saying to him that this was the right way. Then he woke up. But he noted it as not a normal dream, but that it had significance. Which is exactly what it was. Totally a sign from God, I wish we had explained more how that is a way God answers prayers are through dreams, I think that is incredible. He talks about finding the right way, Gods way, all the time, which is super cool. He is just so sincere.

We met with Familjen Hu, and went over the Plan of Salvation, the spirit was strong and direct, making them realize that they kind of do need to do something and not be lazy. So we will meet with them again this week.

Saturday Nov 8 2014 - we did weekly planning, picked up a package for Sister Mod which was kind of fun! Arif and Zarina bloasted us a the library, but ran into Dodo, who has told us he is getting baptized now in the church he has been attending the last 7 years of his life... awkward. Won't be meeting with him at all anymore. We visited Birgitta, but she wasn't feeling well, so it was just short. Then we jumped on a bus, and went to Boden for the surströmming fest. IT was quite the fest.. the stench is the worst thing I've ever smelled in my life. They open them outside to try and make it not so bad inside... but its still bad inside. haha like it stinks so bad it is illegal to take on airplanes because it could break because the pressure change, and nobody wants to smell that. It was the stench of death. HAHA. oh boy. But I ate it, only a bite, but I ate it, and I never have to do it again! The party was really fun, and I enjoyed being with the whole ward. Just love those guys!

  • Tasting Surströmming... YUCK. You don't eat too much at a time. You take some of the hard bread, butter it, put potatos and onions on it then surströmming. I had a tiny bit.. and yes it was that bad. But I tried it! Stinkiest fish in the freaking world. seriously though, it reaked.

Sunday Nov 9 2014 - oh my goodness probably one of the best sunday meetings I've been too while I've been here. Henrik, Abood, Stefan, and Johanna were all there. So first we talked with Stefan and after prayer and all, he wants to get baptized on the 15th! WOO :) Yes, that is this Saturday, we are SOO excited. We've been waiting a long time for this one. I just am so excited for him. I love hiimmmmm. Then sacrament meeting talks were stellar for Henrik and Abood, then sunday school was all about faith which couldn't have been better for Henrik and Johanna shared alot about how faith has helped her and Johanna asked questions in relief society and after we set up a time to meet this week. Oh ps. Johanna is Anna Newells friend who has come to church like 4 or 5 times, and we have been patient to not push her at all or not make her feel uncomfortable, but now she wants to meet, and its super good because I've talked to her multiple times before so we are friends, and she will totally feel comfortable. I can't wait! Then we went to the elders apartment in Boden with the Tolley's and the Kohlers (the Kohlers go home to Oregon in like 2 weeks since they are done with their mission), but we had some delicious dinner and just had some great times together!!

I love the gospel, and I love seeing people understand and find the truth. It has been so special. I love being a missionary for Jesus Christ!! His work is definitely the work of salvation! I love you all!

Thanks for all the love!!

  • Newspaper: a random guy asked us to answer a couple questions for the newspaper. Everyone else is like from different little cities in sweden. Then.. America :) haha (If you understand Swedish, you might be able to read this. LOL)

Nov 3 2014

Monday Oct 27 2014 - We flew to Stockholm!! Woo, it was fun, and we stayed with Sister La Fontane and Sister Hill (Sister Mod's trainer) which was so much fun!! We got to their apartment at like 10 then made dinner ate, and went to sleep! But it was a bunch of fun to get to know them :)

Tuesday Oct 28 2014 - we woke up got ready then went to Gubbangen for the conference. We got there and got to print some stuff off the computers and download some of the pictures from the phone onto a jumpdrive, so now you'll see more! woo :) Right before the conference we also received some amazing news!!! wait for it.... STEFANS MOM GAVE HER PERMISSION!!! :) yayyyyy!!! So that will be planned in the near future.. anyway.. Then conference started and it was just amazing. I loved it. It was nice because it felt like it was really the Beckstrands conference! Because the last ones have been with like Elder Texiera, and Elder Bednar and stuff, which I love also, but it was fun to really get a conference just how the Beckstrands wanted it! I felt like I learned a lot, and had a great time. :) Something that I was reminded of there was the real meaning of sacrifice! I feel like sacrifice has become to have such a bad connotation, but what is the meaning of sacrifice anyway?! Giving up something good for something better!! I'm sacrificing, but it is for something better!! We are all asked to sacrifice worldly things and follow the commandments, but its not a bad thing. The something better is one because it is a happier way to live, and two we get eternal life!! It is something MUCH Better and sometimes we forget that! After the conference we made our way on trains to get to the airport, Then we got home at like 9 that night. So a full fun day in Stockholm!

Wednesday Oct 29 2014 - Pretty good day! Taught a solid amount of lessons, and heart attacked a couple members to make them feel loved :) We went by the Newells to give Anna a Swedish Book of Mormon to give to her friend as we were making our way home to have dinner, but then they invited us in to eat with them!! It was SO nice of them! We had enchiladas, it was for little Lineas birthday, she turned 7 years old :) So we had some delicious cake as well. They are the sweetest family in the world. I just love them. We got to meet with Asefa that night and had a good little lesson with him :)

Thursday Oct 30 2014 - A day of lots of lessons, which was fun, Abood, the muslim who just taught us a lot the last time, was like begging us to meet again. He finished reading the Book of Mormon all the way through, and we just discussed all the questions he had about the book. It was actually really cool, because he loved somethings we explained. We gave him a Swedish Book of Mormon so he could have the whole book (since not all of it is translated into Persian which he had read). Super nice guy though, and really full of faith! So we will see where that goes! That night we taught the Haidari family with Sister Mogjan over the phone translating, and it was really good! The spirit was there, but it was a little rushed. We committed them to coming to church, and continuing reading and praying. Saw some trick or treaters out a day early... awkward ;) haha

Friday Oct 31 2014 - We did some swing bys, taught a couple lessons, but then that night we went to the Näslunds for dinner and a little Halloween party! Swedes are slowly catching onto the Halloween thing. Hence the trick or treaters out a day early. And a couple days after. Haha I honestly saw like 3 trick or treaters was all, but then again we were at a members house who doesn't live close to town for the night. We had a great dinner, then dessert, and then some candy. It was fun, Brother Näslund had called president Beckstrand to get permission to get us home a little late, so we were got home at 10 instead of 9. It was fun :)

Saturday Nov 1 2014 - Like every lesson we planned fell through... we love when people bloast ;p but we did get two even though it was a pretty bad day. It was also all saints day! So everyone here puts lights on the graves, and so we walked by a cemetery and took some pictures (they are on dropbox.) but it was cool because there wasn't like one grave that didn't have a light on it.

Sunday Nov 2 2014 - well there should have been like 10 people coming to church.... and none of them came. :( We called the Haidari's before church to meet them at the bus stop and they “broke up with us” don't really know why, but they said they don't want it anymore :( I was so sad. After church we had branch counsel, which was really productive and great! Then we were invited to the Newells again! Aren't they the bomb?? YES :) I seriously love being in their home. It just reminds me so much of home. Got to love Americans! But we had salmon, and it is slowly getting better. No I don't like it yet, but I also ate my whole piece. Haha! But the rest of the food was fantastic too :) They are just the sweetest. I love rubbing shoulders with them and working with them! It is just so homey and loving there :)

So that was pretty much our week!! Sister Modersitzki is so much fun! We have just been working hard, and she helps me keep going even when I am exhausted ;) haha She is so cute though, and we are becoming really good friends! I just feel super blessed with a great ward and a great companion to be working with! Tonight we are going the the Muhi's (Stefan's family) and he just got back last night, so we are going to figure out his baptism and all! :) Oh this coming week we get the.... wonderful? Opportunity to taste surströmming... gulp. Fermented fish. I might die. So if you don't get an email next week you know what happened. YIKES!

Sounds like you guys are having a blast visiting Austin and Amanda! I'm so jealous. Lots of temple sessions, and just fun!! :) You guys have fun and be safe. I love hearing form you. How was visiting with Lori? and with your cousins? That is way nice of them to offer to babysit for Austin and Amanda. That will be so nice! Well I love you all and I hope everything is going well!! Mission is great :)

Oh and on this coming Thursday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!! :) I hope you guys do something fun on Thursday to celebrate one more year of a beautiful life ;)

Love, Cassie
