Jun 22 2015

Thank you for the package! I look forward to it :) You guys are soo sweet! now you don't need to send me anymore! :) hahah

I love all the details of the week that you gave me, sorry I don't have time to reply to each thing, but sounds like a good crazy week! I will keep those people in my prayers. Thank you for telling me.

Okay- so the big news!! I am TRANSFERRING! and so is Sister DeMille! So we are doubling out of Stockholm!! What!! Ah I was so sad, yet I am also very excited for what is ahead! I will be opening a new sister training leader area, in Södertälje with Sister Kamaouha! She has been there 3 transfers already, but I will be teaching her how to be an STL and such. It will be super fun! We will be over  the same sisters we have been while I've been here in Stockholm, we will just be closer to them, which means less time for our travel, and we will see them more often! YAY! :) I am very excited!

Yet, I am pretty sad to be leaving Stockholm so soon. I just love these people, and it feels weird to leave already. This week was a whole lot of fun though, so  pretty good way to end Stockholm.

Monday Jun 15 2015 - We went down to Handen with a whole bunch of other missionaries. We had a BBQ at the park, played ultimate, played volleyball, and just had a good time. After volleyball all the sisters ran over to the dock to put our feet in the water and wash them off from the sand, and it was really funny because a lot of them ran down toward the end, and Sister Gardner sat down and had her feet in, and then when others came it started to sink! haha so her whole butt got all wet. poor girl. But it was funny :)

We met with Cathy a few times this week, and we taught her the law of chastity and GOOD NEWS!!! SHE and LI are MARRIED!! not just boyfriend girlfriend! hahahah but we thought that would be a challenge because Cathy says that Li is her boyfriend! So after figuring that out, we asked why she calls him that, and its because they haven't had the wedding party yet, so a lot of their friends don't know the other one, so they just kind of call each other that. haha so funny. but we were really excited to know they were married! haha :) The Lord truly does prepare people, and Cathy is dang prepared! She reads and prays everyday, and she wants her faith to come, and I am grateful for the knowledge that it WORKS. If we truly desire to have a testimony, and we show God that by our actions, I know he will give it to us. He wants to help us all know. And I know that Cathy will come to that same knowledge as well. :) It has been such a blessing teaching her!!

Friday Jun 19 2015 and half of Saturday Jun 20 2015 - Were non-proselyting days for us because its the biggest holiday of the year here in Sweden!! It was Midsommar!! (mid-summer!) So all day Friday there were festivities that we enjoyed, but sadly it poured rain the whole day!! Yet we had a lot of fun! We spent it with a whole lot of missionaries, and the Pence family. It was a great time :) haha we danced around the may pole that is decorated with the tree branches and flowers! And the saddest thing happened! haha while they were lifting the may pole.. It BROKE in half!! I asked a swede, and they said they had never seen that happen before! haha so we chopped off the bottom half where it broke and then put the rest in. So it was just a very short may pole! haha :)

After that we went to the Pences and warmed up and had some dinner with them (aren't they the greatest? let me answer that question... YES!!) Then we went to the Gubbängen chapel and played games with a bunch of missionaries. They did an 'Olympics' kind of thing. They did a great job at putting it together. It made for an awesome midsommar. :)

Saturday Jun 20 2015 - Spent some time with the Täby sisters and went and played soccer with our ward! It was sooo much fun. I loved it :) I love soccer, although I am not very good at it any more at all! yikes. haha But we had a good time. Sister DeMille and i were traveling home from that and I got really sick.. :/ But after some help home from some strangers ( because it was really really bad I couldn't walk..) We got home and the elders and the Pences came and gave me a blessing. 2 hours of really bad pain, and then I was healed with a priesthood blessing. It was literally a miracle. The power of prayer and the priesthood is true. When we have faith we can be healed, because I was healed. I am so grateful for the Lord and His love for me!! Saturday we spent some more time with the Pences, then we went to Mira's baptism!! Ah it was wonderful (she has the purple flowers in her hands in the picture.) I felt so happy to be there. I am really grateful I had the opportunity to teach her along the way as she realized she did want to be baptized. It was a great experience. I am so happy for her :) She is in the Gubbängen ward, which is just a tiny bit south of us, but I would always see her at the institute center, and that is when I got the chance to teach her here and there as well as her being taught by the Gubbängen sisters. :)

Sunday Jun 21 2015 - was hard to say bye to people! Ah. How can I already be leaving? But it was okay. It was a great last Sunday! We taught Sunday school and Relief society. But more like I taught Sunday school, and Sister DeMille taught Relief Society and I translated for relief society. haha crazy day. But it was great.

We then had a great dinner with the Pences ( I don't know how they aren't sick of us yet! haha) But its so sad to say bye. But good thing we are spending our Pday today with them!! :) haha

Then we had interviews with president which was fun! We made cupcakes with Sister Beckstrand while the other was interviewed, and switched. haha Good stuff. Love those people. We are taken care of well here. I am excited for changes, but sad to leave. It will be really good though, I feel that this is what is supposed to happen. I know a lot of prayer went into this change, and that the Lord directs his work!

Well, I hope you have a great week, and remember to study the scriptures, they will be of most worth unto you. I love you!!

Love, Cassie

Jun 15 2015

Well, pretty much, it's been a good week and we are going to have a great week! I don't really know what to write about... we are super happy to be together, Sis. DeMille and I are a great team. We've had a lot of good times .. and low times, but we have worked really hard together! But this next week is probably our last full week together. Because Sis. DeMille has been here in Stockholm for 6 months. So we'll have a good time together.

Monday Jun 8 2015 - Last Monday for Pday we went to a butterfly house/aquarium with the Pences, and had an awesome time! Ah it was soo fun! It was Sis. Pence, Jensyn, and Jen's aunt Bobbi. So we took lots of pictures, and had a great time! :) Love them. They are seriously the sweetest, and spoil us a lot.

We did a TON of swing by's to less actives. It is crazy! My legs were quite tired. It was good stuff. We had a little miracle while we went by one. We had actually the wrong house number the first day we went, and so we obviously didn't find it, but when we checked on the computer, it was just a different house number, so we went back the next day, and luckily, she was home for the one hour that she would be home that day! what? okay God leads us. She wasn't actually interested, but we were talking to her at her door, and it wasn't a loss of testimony, it was because of members that she felt uncomfortable coming (which made me really sad.) but just not the best situation years ago, and now she doesn't want to come while that person is still there. But we got to come in for 15 minutes and talk about the scriptures, and really strengthen her. Although she isn't coming back to church yet, I still felt like it was just what she needed. We committed her to reading the Book of Mormon everyday to receive more strength from God. It was a pretty cool experience. Just that 15 minutes getting to know her.. but I left will a heart full of love and compassion for that sister. Christ's love really is pure and perfect to everyone of us.

We had a good lesson with Cathy, and I really enjoyed that. Of course. I seriously just love her. She is the best. The spirit is there. We taught her about the Sabbath day and obedience and reviewed some things. She is really growing in faith. I love teaching her. Its kind of fun, because we have to speak simple English, and clearly, and I used to have to speak slowly, but now she understands me even when I speak fast. She is really improving.

Thursday Jun 11 2015 - Was the one and only... YEAR MARK!!! wooo!! I was super excited! It feels good :) ha-ha and we were spoiled with dinner from the Pence family! They had balloons, and everything. They also gave us a little thing of delicious smelling lotion and chap stick! We were very excited :) Ahh. I will miss them whenever I have to leave this place. Hopefully it isn't any time soon!! But we had a BBQ outside, which was something I haven't had in FOREVER. So that was super awesome. They make great food and best of all great company. :) They are a funny bunch. Oh, we are always laughing. They remind me of you crazy family ;) love it.

Friday Jun 12 2015 - We went on exchanges with the Västerhaninge sisters, and I was with sister Irene again! She was in Örebro last transfer when I went with her, but I got to be with her again and it was a blast!! I just love that girl. We get along really well. I felt like we had some good training, and good pump up to go out and do better missionary work! :) That night we got bloasted quite a few times.. but it was okay because we got led to this YSA age Swedish guy that we ended up talking to on the street for TWO HOURS. Literally. We taught him the whole restoration and plan of salvation with TONS of details. He asked sooo many questions, and huge questions. He is super prepared. He said he was going to go home and read the Book of Mormon. It was really cool. Tender mercy from the Lord. :)

Saturday Jun 13 2015 - Was AWESOME! It was Fumi's baptism!! This little 14 year old African girl that the elders have been teaching. She is the cutest. It was a beautiful service, and it made me super happy. I just felt so grateful for the peace and happiness that the gospel brings. Too many of us act like it is a BURDEN. BUT ITS NOT. It is our wings. It is how we let go of the burdens that are on us. Thanks to our Savior Jesus Christ. :)

Sunday Jun 14 2015 - Cathy came to church and it was awesome. She is keeping the Sabbath day holy, and we reviewed that we don't shop on Sundays and she was like oh okay, I shouldn't do that starting now, huh? Yes! ha-ha it was great :) We also had dinner with the Pences which was super great. They are like our second family here. They just take care of us, because there isn't really anyone else that we've gone too. It is really sweet of them. We always have a good time with them. :) Then we hit it off with some weekly planning! it was awesome :)

I love the Lord and his work! good luck to all my friends on missions who are going home! Have fun and be safe :)

Jun 8 2015

Wow, what a week! I don't even know where to start!!
Well here is a rundown on what happened...

Monday Jun 1 2015 - For p-day we went to Sigtuna- the oldest town in Sweden. With the Beckstrands, the Taylors, the assistants: E. Noso and E. Sahlin, the office elders, E. Liddle and E. Taggart, and the Täby sisters: S. Sorenson and S. Harkness. It was a blast! The ruins are from the 1100's and the church is from the late 1200's/1300's so STINKING OLD. Haha it was crazy. And the church is still in use. it was amazing. We had a great time and took lots of pictures. President took many pictures of the group of us, so hopefully we get them from him eventually.

Tuesday Jun 2 2015 - We had zone conference which was spectacular!! I learned a ton, got some more motivation and it was great to see some old friends. President and Sister Beckstrand and the assistants, Elder Noso and Elder Sahlin are super great teachers, and I love learning from them. Great examples of missionaries for us.

Wednesday Jun 3 2015 - We had a bunch of lessons on Wednesday, one guy named Happy, who was super grateful for sister DeMille. Haha it was funny. But taught him about Jesus Christ. Then we taught Cathy and oh my goodness, she is so awesome. We taught her the gospel of Jesus Christ, and really explained baptism and she accepted a date! August 1st, the only task now is to get her and her boyfriend married... haha we will teach her the law of chastity this coming week. But she has felt the spirit a lot and she wants to do what she can to build her faith in God. We are so excited for her because she is soo sincere!

Thursday Jun 4 2015 - We had lunch with the Pences on Thursday and finally saw Jensyn again since she has been in Utah the past month. But we love them and of course had a good time with them. Then we went on exchanges with the Örebro sisters! I went there with Sister Griffes, and we had a great time. I just love that girl. She is training, what a rock star. But exchanges went really well, we taught a few lessons, and learned from each other. It was really good to be able to get to know her, and to be able to strengthen her. Give them a little boost hopefully. We also taught an hour and half street lesson, which was crazy, but super fun. Two middle aged Swedish men, but it was amazing to see the difference in their eyes before and after the lesson. We testified a lot about God being our loving Heavenly Father. It was really cool. I really felt like this would change their lives. I was lucky to be able to be there for it.

A purple carrot. :) haha Kind of weird."
Sister Griffes and I

Friday Jun 5 2015 - We taught some less actives who live pretty far from Örebro, but need the support and love. Then we switched back that afternoon. But while we were on splits, Sister DeMille and Sister Bourelle taught one of our potential investigators, Ceasar, and it went great! Sister DeMille and I had contacted him on the street the week before, and were super led by the spirit to talk to him since we came up from behind him, then stopped him. Haha but he accepted a baptismal date! The only problem is that he works a ton, so we probably won't be able to meet him more than once a week. But it is really cool to see how the Lord really leads us and uses us.

Saturday Jun 6 2015 - was a packed day of lessons, which was so cool. We taught a polish girl and she was so open to the message, committed her to read the Book of Mormon and pray about Joseph Smith and everything. Ah it was such a spiritual lesson. We hope to meet with her soon. Then we taught Cathy the restoration, and it was super awesome. She first off came with a bunch of questions, because she had done her research. It was literally amazing the questions she had. She also had read chapters 1-23 in the gospel principles manual, so her understanding of the restoration all came together as we taught it. SO cool. I seriously love her. The spirit is always very strong, and she is recognizing it. She prays daily, and reads out of the Book of Mormon. She said she didn't understand everything, but that she always feels peace. Oh the Book of Mormon is wonderful. It truly is the word of God.

We taught Agnes, and Kelvin, it was the first lesson with both of them and had a member come to both of them. It went really well actually, and ah the Lord just blessed us. It was so neat to finally be able to set up so many lessons and have them follow through. Two of the lessons we had set up bloasted, but still an awesome day.

Sunday Jun 7 2015 - Then the lovely Sabbath day. It was an awesome day. We had a Nordic Area conference that was broadcasted to us. So we heard from President and Sister Teixiera of the Europe area (of the 70). And from the one and only Elder HOLLAND. Which was Amazing. He talked and focused on the Book of Mormon!! It was literally insane, but wonderful. His testimony is so strong. I can't deny the power of prophets on the earth today. And the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon. I love the church and am so grateful for it.

I hope you all can study the Book of Mormon, it is the keystone to our religion. It helps us know that Jesus is the Christ, and this is His true church on the earth. As we fall away from reading the Book of Mormon, that is when our testimony will falter. Keep close.
I love you guys SOO much, thanks for everything!!

Love, Sister Bolton

Jun 1 2015

To answer all your questions.. yeah you definitely get all sorts of emotions and obstacles. So sometimes its overwhelming, boring, frustrating, but what is great is that it is really a lot easier to get over those things because you constantly get refilled with energy from the Lord, and He helps a lot as we face those things. I have grown because of them. We cook a lot for ourselves. We usually get fed once or twice a week. But we cook a lot of rice and veggies and chicken. Recently we have been doing chicken salad with ranch ;) haha its the besttt. But we mix it up with other things as well. And it depends on the members and such, but they feed us whatever. haha I've had very American dishes to Swedish to Persian to Chinese to African to Peruvian. It is fun to try so many different kinds of food! I love doing splits each week, it is one of my favorite things because I get to teach other missionaries and learn from other missionaries, and it is just great because our sisters are amazing. People in Stockholm... are BUSY. There is a ton of hustle and bustle. But we definitely find people who will at least stop and talk for 5 minutes. It has been hard finding investigators though. So in some ways it is harder than the other cities because there are so many people to talk to but none of them will listen to you. But you get to at least ask a whole lot more people. So I don't know which I like better. They are all great areas :) haha

Good luck with your MRI! and thanks for all the updates. I love hearing about everyone. This week was good, not to many unusual things, but I would say it was a harder week of recent. But still trooping, and having a good time!

One of my favorite investigators we have is named Cathy, she is from China (she's the one in the green coat in the pictures.) But she has never learned about God, and it has been amazing to see her build faith in him! We actually were teaching her English, and then we started teaching her the gospel and her English has improved a TON. Evidence of God and His love. It is really neat to hear her pray and she asks tons of questions. She is from China, so she reads the gospel principles manual in both Chinese and English and then we've been discussing it, and she has both basic and deep questions, and she is getting it! Awe. It is really neat. :) I love Asians. haha But she believes in God now and is so kind.

On Friday we had a fun time with a group of missionaries as we chalked a picture of a globe and contacted around it. It was pretty cool. The banner says "The meaning of life?" then mormon.org underneath it. I colored in all of Africa. haha but as I was rubbing my hand over the chalk to spread it, a piece of glass slid into my hand. ouch, but it was a lot of fun. haha and it was great because people were coming up to us asking what we were doing, and then we were able to teach a lot of people and find some new potential investigators. Really effective, and all thanks to our artist Sister Sorenson! (She came in my group) But it was a bunch of fun. :)

We went on exchanges this week with the Södertälje sisters, which is a tripan right now, and we had a great time! Sister Kamaouha came to Stockholm with me, and Sister Demille went there with Sister Taylor and Sister Lindsay. Sister Kamaouha is such a sweet heart, so I loved that. I learned from her, and was able to offer suggestions and ideas of how to maybe help certain parts of the tri-panionship. But we had a great time together. :)

Life is good, God is better. Loving it! :)

I love you soo very much and thank you for your support. I hope you have a good week.

Love, Cassie

Cassie and Syster Demille heart attacked the Pence family door and mailbox to welcome them back to Sweden from Utah.
